Linear Defect Status should be updated in Testiny

Integration : Testiny and Linear

Issue : When a Defect status is updated in Linear, it doesnt get updated in Testiny
Ex : If a defect is linked to a test case in test run and its fixed it will still show as failed in Testiny. Is there a solution or suggestion on how to handle this?

Hello and welcome to our forum!

Currently, our integration with Linear is link-based only. This means that we do not retreive the issue statuses from Linear and at the moment, there is no fast solution for this.
However, we plan to extend our integration with Linear, including fetching issue statuses. And while I can’t give you an exact release date just yet, it’s definitely on our radar.

The defect status for linear is now updated since our latest feature release:

Testiny v1.21

Some new features just got released Improved Linear integration: You can now create, search for, and link issues in Linear as requirements or defects directly from Testiny. Additionally, the current status of linked issues is displayed in Testiny. Unfortunately, since the internal representation changed, you need to create a new Linear integration, but you can keep the “legacy” integration side-by-side.
