It would be nice to have a tool to compare with the updated case and the history of the previous case

Hello

I think it would be nice to have a function to check the test case diff by version. I think it’s a necessary function to manage the regression cases of software with a lot of updates. (It’s like checking diff when code merge)

Thank you

Hi,

Not sure if I understand your request correctly, but Testiny does provide a history on test cases which shows the differences for each change done to the test case:

The Testiny Docs also explain in detail what the colors and the formatting mean:

If this is not what you need, can you give a little more detail please? Thank you!

Best Regards,
Alex

I don’t want to see thousands of test case history every time.
It would be nice to have a history by folder.
(so that multiple case histories appear on one page with old and new versions)

Thanks for the clarification! So you would like to have a summary history overview on all test cases in a folder.

I’ll add this as a feature request to our backlog, but cannot make any guarantee if or when such a feature will be implemented. This basically depends on how many users want such functionality.

So if anyone reads this and also needs this feature, please leave an upvote or even a comment/post what your requirements are. Thank you!

Best regards,
Alex
